It has been raining for the past 36 hours. As NZ is surrounded by oceans, the climate is heavily influenced by the oceans as well. Which makes the weather so unpredictable. From time to time we get some tropical depression hovering over the island and all hells break loose. I lose count the number of times where we get severe rain warning ranging from 25 mm/hr to 150 mm/hr for the next 24 hours. This is akin to the tropical monsoons except that the monsoon is consistent and last for several months. Having said that, it's time for me to get changed and braved the strong winds and heavy rain to work. Ugh!
