In many ways, Kiwi slang is quite similar though but not all to the Aussie slang. When I first came to Kiwiland, there are times where I do not understand the meaning of some words that blurted out by the locals. It took me a while to make sense some of those words mean. Here are some of them:-

ads: TV commercials
afternoon tea: short break from work in afternoon
arse over tit: head over heels
arse: ass, rear end, butt
B
banger: sausage
bach: holiday home
beaut, beauty: splendid, terrific
bit of a dag: hard case, comedian
biscuit: cookie
bite your bum: go away, get lost
bloke: man
bludge: to sponge off other people or the government
bonnet: car hood
boot: car trunk
boy-racer: young man who drives fast in a car with a loud stereo
brassed off: disappointed, annoyed
bugger: similar to 'damn'
bugger all: not much
buggered: tired, exhausted
bugger off: go away, piss off
bum: rear end, butt
bush: forest

Kiwi, sounds almost the same as English, but I don't mean hot-potato-in-your-mouth-English. ;)
