Why do we need to go to bed early?

From young, I always heard that we need to go to bed early but do not really understand why. After reading some articles about our body functions recently, I now understand that our body had different scheduled tasks set to run during the night to get rid unnecessary chemicals out from the body. Here are some of them:-

09:00 pm - 11:00 pm: Detoxification of the antibody system (lymph nodes).

11:00 pm - 01:00 am: The detoxification process in the liver.

12:00 am - 04:00 am: Production of blood by the bone marrows.

01:00 am - 03:00 am : Detoxification of the gall.

03:00 am - 05:00 am: Detoxification of the lungs.

05:00 am - 07:00 am : Detoxification in the colon.

07:00 am - 09:00 am: Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine.

For those who are sick, have breakfast before 06:30 am. For those wanting to stay fit, breakfast before 07:30 am would be beneficial.

So for those night owls out there, if you want to have a healthy body, I suggest you go to be early. :p

Are there linkies? Sounds interesting, but on the face of it a little random. It's plausible but I'd have thought it would be x hours after sunset etc rather than a specific time, or if you go to bed at midnight and get up at 10am, your cycle is pushed back a bit. Hmmm....

Explains why I'm so buggered on Monday mornings though - bed at 1am, up at 5am. Oops.
