Still alive...
I really had nothing much to report lately. I have been quite occupied with a lot of stuffs for the last few weeks so much so it wore me down and I was down with cold for the entire week. Still sniffling and feeling run down as I am writing this post. Mind you, this is only the start of that damn winter season in NZ and I hope I can cope with the extreme wetness and low temperature.
Just exactly what I have been busying about? Frankly, I have no inkling at all. All I know is despite the fact I tried to scale down my daily working hours to 8 hours per day, I am still busy zip zapping here and there to get things done. Somehow I just have never have enough time to do a lot of things.
The toxic waste dump (affectionately known as work place) is still the same, in fact it is more toxic than ever due to the extreme cost cutting measures. But I got so tired with the constant drama and basically just shut them out. I need to move on. Even though physically I am still here, I have already move on with my inner self. Seriously, nothing matters to me any more with the place. Should they decided to close down the whole place tomorrow, I am fine with that. Actually I wish it will close down sooner because it will be good riddance.
I am in the process of inching my way out of the closet and I am making some progress. Lately, I confided to a lady friend in one of those long conversations about life and everything. It turns out she suspected all along and she was cool about that and very supportive. Which is a huge relief for me. Of course, there is still a long way to step out of the closet door, but I will keep soldier on.

Good old honey and lemon tea...

I have been hibernating in my flat over the weekend. I mean literally turned myself into a cocoon and stayed on the bed all the time except getting out to pee or feed myself. Despite keeping myself warm and taking Codral, I do not see any improvements to my cold. So last night I resorted to good old Grandma's remedy which is honey and lemon tea. Somehow it work wonders because I felt so much better today.
INGREDIENTS:-
1 cup hot water
2 teaspoons honey
1 half of lemon - squeeze the fresh juice

Time out for today...

Are you lonesome tonight? Are you queasy tonight?
Ever since I moved to NZ, my body is still trying to recover from the shock of the sudden change in environment. After 2 year being here, I still feel disoriented sometimes when I travel around. Although physically I am in southern hemisphere but my body seem to have mind of its own and thinks that it still inhabits in the north. My biological clock seems to be in disarray and still confused with the time zones (shall I call it the extended jet lag?). I lose more body heat than accumulating it and despite I ate ferociously like tiny squirrels, my body gets cold easily because I have little body fat.
Another thing I found out is I became more prone to motion sickness (the last I had was more than 20 years ago). Take today for example, I was all settled in the car with my colleague heading back home after a meeting in
I think it must be something to do with the way people drive their vehicles in NZ. Perhaps, I am not the problem after all…

The bitch is back
She’s back. This time she stayed longer than I anticipated. I wish I could kill the vicious bitch off once and for all so she can stop tormenting me but it is easily said than done. I do not know why and how we hooked up in the first place. All I can recall is we began our tempestuous affair many years ago when I started my stint in IT industry and ever since she kept coming back to torture me when I least expected. Now I can’t reverse this toxic relationship, I just have to muster all my strength and put up a good fight with her.You see, she is the dreaded Miss Migraine. When she makes her arrival, not even Mr. Panadol, Dr. Aspirin, Sister Neurofen or Rev. Codeine can stop her menace. Oh, she is very sneaky (just like the devil in the movie, The Exorcist) and she will make sure that I get the slow and painful torture.
It begins with that dull headache gradually intensifies to pounding pulses on my right side of the head. Next, my eyes began to water, my head spinning and sensitive to light. Then, my body grew weak; wave of feverish feeling swept my body and my heart pulsating rapidly. The climax will be nauseous feeling followed by rounds of puking.
Of course, I would not just sit around and take all the beating. I ask Master Green Tea for help. With his skillful kung-fu movements (the anti-oxidants), he beat the hell out of that bitch and sent her off packing. It works every time (at least for me).
Ok, time for my high dosage concoction, I’m going to smack the bitch up…
